Privacy

This is a private site for people invited to Meg and Videet's wedding in Phuket, 5–8 November 2026. It is run by the two of us, not a company. There are no adverts, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and nothing here is sold or shared with anyone trying to sell you something.

What we collect

• Your email address, so you can sign in and so your uploads carry your name.
• Your name, as you choose to write it.
• Photos and videos you upload, with any caption you add.
• Which team you're on for the welcome-dinner game. It's assigned automatically and means nothing else.

We do not collect your location. Where the site shows you on the resort map, that happens entirely on your phone and is never sent to us. Location data embedded in photos is stripped before anyone else can see them.

Email

The only email this site sends is a six-digit sign-in code, and only when you have just asked for one. There is no newsletter, no announcements and no mailing list — we cannot email everyone even if we wanted to, because the site keeps no list of addresses to send to. Everything else reaches you through the WhatsApp group.

Codes are sent from hello@megandvideet.com. Replies go to a mailbox we read.

Who can see what

• Other invited guests can see photos and videos you upload, and the name attached to them. That's the point — it's a shared gallery.
• Photos also appear on the slideshow at the reception. Videos never do.
• Nobody outside the wedding can see any of it. The whole site is behind sign-in.
• Your email address is never shown to other guests — only your name.

What you control

• You can delete anything you uploaded, at any time, and change its caption.
• You can change the name shown on your uploads.
• If you'd rather we removed something else, or all of it, email us and we will.

One of us can also hide a photo from the gallery and the slideshow if something goes up that shouldn't have. Hiding is reversible and never deletes anyone's photo — only the person who uploaded it can do that.

After the wedding

We haven't decided yet how long we'll keep everything. Whatever we settle on, we'll say so on this page before anything is deleted, and you can remove your own uploads at any point in the meantime.

Who else touches your data

Only the services that make the site work: Amazon Web Services hosts everything and sends the sign-in codes; Google, if you choose to sign in with a Google account; and ImprovMX, which forwards mail sent to this domain to our own inbox. None of them are given your data for their own purposes.
